Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has today posted a worrying message on his official Twitter account, in the midst of serious trouble between he and the Egyptian FA.
Big-money arrival
Egyptian wide-man Salah made his return to the Premier League last summer, after Liverpool splashed out a fee that could eventually rise to 50 million Euro to bring the former Chelsea man in from Serie A outfit AS Roma.
And he has certainly not taken long to settle back into the rigours of the English game, having already popped up with an incredible 43 goals across all competitions to this point in the campaign.
Crowned
31 of Salah’s strikes have come in the Premier League, meaning that the gifted African has equalled the record for most goals in the English top-flight over the course of a 38-game season, despite having 3 fixtures remaining.
As such, it came as little surprise when the former Basel man was officially crowned as the Premier League Player of the Year by his peers at the PFA awards last weekend:
Trouble
Despite everything going his way at club level at this moment in time, Salah’s relationship with his country has taken a major hit over the last couple of days.
This is due to an issue surrounding the 25-year-old’s image rights, with the decision of the Football Association in Egypt to use Salah’s face on the side of the country’s official plane for this summer’s World Cup having caused a rift between Liverpool’s star man and the Pharaohs:Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has today posted a worrying message on his official Twitter account, in the midst of serious trouble between he and the Egyptian FA.

The transport for Hector Cuper’s squad is being provided by official sponsor ‘WE’, who just so happen to be a direct competitor of Salah’s individual sponsor, Vodafone.
The move has already angered Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, who released the following message earlier today:
‘We are having a very serious issue with the Egyptian Football Association. Any unauthorised use of image rights shall be dealt with severely. All options are on the table.’
‘A very big insult’
And Salah himself has since taken to Twitter to post his own personal message about the matter, with the winger sniping:
‘Unfortunately the way this has been dealt with is a very big insult… I was hoping the deal would be classier than this.’
