Kane’s was ruled out for around a month after picking up an ankle injury during Tottenham’s 4-1 victory over Bournemouth in the Premier League 2 weeks ago, following a collision with Cherries’ shot-stopper Asmir Begovic.
A pinpoint through-ball from Christian Eriksen on the half-hour mark saw Kane look as though he had broken the offside trap to finish expertly, only for the goal to be correctly ruled out by the linesman.
However, as Kane connected with the ball, his right foot turned in the Vitality turf under the challenge of Begovic, with the English hitman limping off down the tunnel to be replaced by Erik Lamela.
While initial reports claimed that Kane was set for a minimum of a month on the sidelines, a photo of the 24-year-old at Tottenham’s training ground this afternoon has since led to widespread excitement on the part of the club’s fanbase, amid suggestions that his return from injury could be ahead of schedule.
