Simba SC will be in a war hunting for three points today, Sunday as they host Majimaji in Mainland Vodacom Premier League round 15 at National Stadium.
Today’s match closes the first half of the VPL which, if Simba SC wins, will have controlled the whole first half of the league for securing the top position.
Simba is leading the league with 32 points after playing 14 matches, while Azam FC has 30 points after playing 15 matches.
Azam FC lost on Saturday when played against Yanga at Chamanzi Complex.
If they win today, Msimbazi giants we be five points above Azam and seven points above Yanga which is in the third placed.
Simba has traditional good record at the National Stadium after winning many matches against various teams. The last time they won 4-0 against Singida United.
The club’s Information Officer, Haji Manara said that they will take the game seriously. "We must win, though it is a difficult game," he said.
“We respect Majimaji. That is why we are putting all our energy to ensure we collect three points. It is like a final game,” he said.
Majimaji has 13 points so far placing itself at 11th position in the league.
