Simba drops two point in Mapinduzi cup

SIMBA SC has dropped Haruna Niyonzima and Laudit Mavugo in the squad which camps in Zanzibar for Mapinduzi Cup.
The squad which travelled to Zanzibar accumulated 24 payers but it didn’t include the two key players.
Acting head coach Masudi Djuma said that Niyonzima has remained in Dar es Salaam due to personal issues while Mavugo is in Burundi.
He said that Mavugo went to Burundi for family matters and both have agreed to return after Mapinduzi Cup when the team will be preparing for remain Mainland premier leagues matches.
“There are key players but that is not the big problem to us, we have signed many players and we have players who will play their positions.
“Actually we didn’t have enough time to prepare for this tournament as we have played many league matches up country, but we will fight depending on the environment we face,” said Djuma.
Djuma noted that although the fixture is tough to them, they will make sure that they will win the title which is currently held by Azam FC.
Simba will play Mwenge team based in Zanzibar today evening at Amaan Stadium in the Tanzania’s Isles.
